1. TO ENTER

• Create your yarn creation using Vanna’s Choice®, Vanna’s Choice® Baby or Vanna’sGlamour® yarn. Take a photograph of your knit, crochet or craft item and submit your photograph electronically as described below. Entries may be submitted from November 6, 2011 through February 1, 2012. Entries must be received by 11:59pm CST February 1, 2012.
• To enter
  • Online: complete the online form at VannasChoice.com and upload a picture of your entry.
  • Via regular mail: download an entry form from VannasChoice.com complete the form and mail it to: Lion Brand Yarn Company, Attn: Vanna’s Choice Contest, 135 Kero Road, Carlstadt, NJ 07072, with your project photograph.
• No limit to the number of times you may enter.
• The entry form must include the Michaels store location.
• Only entries accompanied by a photograph will be judged. For online entriesphotograph must be in JPEG format.
• By submitting an entry you agree that you may be placed on a mailing list to receive email newsletters and other materials from Michaels Stores, Inc. You may opt out at any time. You may opt in to receive Lion Brand® emails.

2. GENERAL INFORMATION

• All photos become the property of Michaels Stores, Inc. and Lion Brand® Yarn Company and will not be returned.
• Winners will be notified by e-mail and/or phone and his or her name and winning entry will be publicly displayed on Michaels.com, LionBrand.com and/or VannasChoice.com web sites.
• Michaels Stores, Inc. and Lion Brand® Yarn Company assume no responsibility forsoftware or hardware malfunctions or for lost, stolen, delayed, corrupt, or damaged entries or for any failure of the web site during the promotional period. In the event of a dispute, online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the registered owner of the e-mail address from which the entry was submitted. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Michaels Stores, Inc. reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Online entries generated by script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Entrants agree to abide by the Contest Rules and the decisions of Sponsor(s), which are final.
• Create your entry using any pattern you choose, or create your own pattern. You must, however, supply information as to the origin of the pattern. It may be an original design, an existing pattern, or a modification of an existing pattern. All projects must be original work of the entrant and must not infringe any third party copyright, right of privacy or publicity, moral rights or any other rights of any third party. Projects are subject to verification. Approximately 100 finalists will be required to submit the actual project for inspection. Submission of entry grants Sponsor(s) the right to publish, and post photographs and/or the description of the project and any part thereof at Sponsor’s sole discretion, in any and all media, including on the world wide web, in perpetuity for advertising and promotional purposes without review, approval or notification.
• Winners will be notified on or about May 31, 2012 and announced publicly by June 30, 2012.

3. ELIGIBILITY

• The Vanna’s Choice® Yarn Contest is open to legal US and Canadian residents who are of the legal age of majority in their state or province of residence, except residents of NJ, AZ, VT, ND, MD, TN and Quebec. Employees of Lion Brand® Yarn Company, Michaels Stores, Inc., their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, suppliers, retailers, and sales representatives and the immediate families (including spouse, parents, children and siblings) and household members of such employees are not eligible.
• Subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations. Void in NJ, AZ, VT, ND, MD, TN and Quebec and where prohibited by law.

4. JUDGING

• Entries will be judged by a panel of qualified judges. Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
• Entries will be judged on creativity (50%) and workmanship (50%). All entries must use Vanna’s Choice®, Vanna’s Choice® Baby and/or Vanna’s Glamour® yarn. Other Lion Brand® yarns may be incorporated.
• The judges will choose the top four (4) projects.
• The top four (4) projects will be place on the VannasChoice.com microsite for online voting.
• Online voting will begin in April 2012 and will conclude in May 2012.

5. PRIZES: 240 PRIZES IN TOTAL

• The top four prize winners will be selected by online voting. The projects will be posted on the VannasChoice.com website in April 2012. On-line voting will begin April 2012 and end in May 2012.
  
• The entrant who receives the highest number of votes will be declared the Grand Prize winner and will receive a trip for two (2) to meet Vanna White and a chance to win $100,000 USD cash.
  
  Trip includes round trip coach class airfare for 2 to Los Angeles, 2 nights hotel accommodations (one room/double occupancy), and $500 USD spending money. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of this trip: $3,000 USD. Actual value may vary depending on winner’s point of travel origin and airfare fluctuations. Any difference between the stated ARV and actual value will not be awarded. All meals, gratuities, and other expenses associated with the trip not specifically stated in these Official Rules are solely the winner’s responsibility. Trip must be taken on dates specified by Sponsor, or prize will be forfeited.
  
  How to Play for a Chance to Win $100,000: One randomly selected contestant will have the opportunity to select ONE (1) out of ONE-HUNDRED (100) sealed envelopes. One (1) of the 100 envelopes will contain a Grand Prize winning message (Congratulations! You have won the grand prize of $100,000 USD) and ninety-nine (99) envelopes will contain consolation prize messages (Sorry, you have not won the grand prize.). If the contestant selects the envelope containing the Grand Prize winning message (Congratulations! You have won the grand prize of $100,000 USD) the contestant will win the Grand Prize. If the contestant selects an envelope containing a consolation prize message (Sorry, you have not won the grand prize.), he/she will win a consolation prize.Only one envelope out of the set of 100 may be opened. If more than one envelope is opened, the promotion is void and SPONSOR is not liable for any prize reimbursement. Envelopes that are mutilated, altered, copied, hand printed, forged, water damaged, or tampered with in any way, or which contain any printing or typographical errors, will be considered null and void and will not be eligible for prize redemption.
  
  Chance to Win Prizes Available: One (1) Grand Prize of $100,000 USD. Odds of winning depend upon total number of entrants. If selected to participate in the Chance to Win Event, the odds of winning are 1 in 100. If the Grand Prize is not won, it will not be awarded. All taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner(s). Prizes are not transferrable. The Grand Prize Winner (if any) will be required to sign an affidavit form including release of liability to Sponsor and allowing Sponsor to use the winner’s name and likeness for advertising purposes without additional compensation to the promotion winner. In the event winner fails to timely return documents, or prize is returned as nondeliverable, or if potential winner is found not to be eligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, disqualification may result. No alternate winner will be selected.
   
• The next highest scoring entrants will receive the following prizes:
  • One (1) first prize winner will receive $1,000 USD. If the winner resides in Canada, anequivalent Canadian dollar value will be awarded.
  • One (1) second prize winner will receive $500 USD. If the winner resides in Canada, an equivalent Canadian dollar value will be awarded.
  • One (1) third prize winner will receive $100 Michaels Gift Card. If the winner resides in Canada, a Michaels Gift Card of equivalent Canadian dollar value will be awarded.
  • Consoliation prizes: Gift card, subject to terms set by issuer.
• Winners will be notified via e-mail or phone and must claim prize by June 30, 2012. Ifprize notice or prize is returned as undeliverable or the selected entrant does not respond and claim prize by June 30, 2012, the prize will be forfeited. Grand and First Prize winners will be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release and, where lawful, a Publicity Release within this time period or prize will be forfeited. Guest of Grand Prize winner must also sign a Liability and Publicity Release before travel arrangements will be booked. Winner may only bring a minor guest if winner is the minor’s parent or legal guardian.
• Prizes are nontransferable and cannot be returned to Michaels Stores, Inc. or redeemed for the cash equivalent. Substitution of prize is prohibited except by Sponsors as provided herein.
• In the event prize becomes unavailable, Michaels Stores, Inc. reserves the right to substitute any prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
• By accepting prize, winner agrees that Lion Brand Yarn Company and Michaels Stores, Inc., and their directors, agents and employees, shall have no liability for any loss or damage incurred in connection with acceptance or use of the prizes awarded in this contest and acknowledge that said partners have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in law or in fact, relative to any prize.
• All applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of winner.

6. OTHER TERMS

• By entering, entrants agree that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, participant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Texas, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. By entering, entrants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal, state and local courts located in Dallas County, Texas.
• CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
• If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, human error or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
