Lion Brand Yarn Company is sponsoring a yarn contest at Michaels stores. The grand prize is $1,000 and an all-expense paid trip for two to Los Angeles to meet Vanna White. The contest ends on February 1, 2010.

Step 1 – Yarn:
Make a project using Lion Brand’s Vanna's Choice, Vanna's Choice Baby and/or Vanna’s Glamour Yarn.

Step 2 - Category:
You may enter separate projects in each and every category as many times as you wish.

•  Hats and Scarves
•  Gifts and Crafts

Step 3 – Entry:
Each entry will require an entry form and supporting photo(s). Entries may be submitted online or by mail. All entries must be received online or postmarked by February 1, 2010. The contest is valid in Canada and the United States except the states and provinces specified in the contest rules.

Step 4 – Judging:
Your entry will be judged 50% on creativity and 50% on workmanship. You may submit an entry with a pattern you designed or you may use an existing pattern, as long as you indicate the source of the pattern on your entry form.

Step 5 – Prizes:
Each category offers a first place prize of $1,000, 3 second place prizes of $500 each and 4 third place prizes of $100 Michaels gift cards. The Grand Prize, selected from the one of the first places winners, will receive round trip airfare, $500 spending money, and 2 nights hotel accommodations for two to Los Angeles, CA to meet Vanna White.
