Why are residents of NJ, AZ, VT, ND, MD, and TN in the United States and Quebec, Canada excluded from participating in this contest?
The laws in those states and provinces prohibit this type of game of chance. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Are there different categories?
No, you may knit, crochet and/or craft any type of project that you would like.

How many projects can I enter?
You may enter different projects as many times as you wish. Each project requires a separate entry form and photo.

Do I have to send in the actual project?
If you are chosen as a finalist, you will be asked to send in the actual project. Until then, please submit only photos. For tips on how to take great photos, click here.

How do I upload and attach a photo in my entry form?

Do I have to use Vanna's Choice yarn? Can I use other Lion Brand yarns? Can I use accessories or other fabrics in my project?
All projects must be made primarily from Vanna's Choice, Vanna's Choice Baby and/or Vanna's Glamour yarns. You may incorporate small amounts of other Lion Brands yarns and/or supplies like fabrics, beads, buttons, or snaps.

Does my project need to be original? Can I use my own pattern? Can it be made from an existing pattern?
The project may be made from your own original design, an existing pattern, or a modification of an existing pattern. If you are using an existing pattern, you must supply and indicate the name and source of the pattern. If it is your own design or a modification of a pattern, please check Original Design and in the project description section of the entry form please include as much as information as possible about the project and how it was modified and or original.

How do I confirm that my entry was submitted properly and is complete?
You will receive a confirmation email. In order to qualify for the contest, you must submit a complete entry form and at least one photograph. If your confirmation email does not show the photograph(s) submitted with the entry, please refer to the next question on how to upload/submit your entry photo.

I received a confirmation email that my entry was submitted, but it says that the images did not upload properly and that my entry is not complete.  What should I do?
If you received an email that says there are no images attached with your entry; simply click this link to log-in to your LBY (Lion Brand) account where you will be transferred to the "My Entries" page of your LBY account. Be sure to login with the same email address that was submitted with your contest entry form. On the My Entries page, you will see a link to your contest entry. Click the entry link and it will direct to you a page where you will see your entry and all the information submitted. On this page with the information, you will be able to edit the entry and upload photographs. For photographs, scroll down until you see a button that says Browse. For further instructions on how to attach and upload the photo(s), please click here. If you are still having difficulties, simply print your confirmation email or download a mail-in entry form, include a photo of your project and mail it to:

Will I need to send in my project if I am finalist or winner? Will I get my project back?
Approximately, 100 entrants will be selected as finalists. All finalists will be contacted and asked to mail-in the actual project for inspection to complete our second and final round of judging. All projects will be returned after the winner's have been announced on the contest website, VannasChoice.com.

When will the winners be announced?
The winners will be contacted by May 31, 2012, however they will not be announced to the public until on or about June 30, 2012.
